2017 TTT Race Series Schedule

Each year several local races are selected to use for the TTT Race Series. Racing, placing, volunteering, and sporting your team kit can earn you points for any of these races. See the Race Series Points tab for more details.

The 2017 TTT Race Series includes the following races:

Of particular note, two pairs of races this year overlap each other. The Belews Lake Sprint and International races are on the same day at the same time, and Nat Greene's Revenge and the Lake Brandt Sprint are on the same day at the same time. For these races, you will of course only be able to do one of each of these. So at the most, you'll be able to do 5 races in the series this year.

The TTT tent will be out for these events. We will have some extra goodies that you may not be able to find in the end of race food selection, as well as some team swag. Members who cannot race as well as TTT family members are encouraged to stop by the tent and party with the rest of us while cheering for your teammates.

Volunteers are also very welcome as we hope to use this opportunity to recruit fellow triathletes into our ranks. If you plan on racing in one or more of the events and/or would like to volunteer a little bit of your time at the team tent, please contact me via email (TTT.President@gmail.com). We also encourage volunteering with the race providers. It's a great way to see what goes on to get these events running smoothly, and can often times result in future race discounts as well!

2017 TTT Destination Races

In addition to the local TTT Race Series, the team also selects several longer destination races to attend. If you're interested in participating in Half or Full Ironman distance races, this is a great way to attend and compete along with your fellow TTT teammates! These races are not part of the TTT Race Series, but with our rules change you do still have an opportunity to pad your race series standings a bit with these races.

Often times these races sell out early and quickly, so if you're interested in attending you should do so early in the registration window. To get more information about how many members are attending each race, join us at a team meeting or event, or check out our Facebook Group!

The 2017 TTT Destination Races are:

White Lake is a weekend with 3 different races, which makes it a great opportunity for a wide range of skill levels and abilities to be able to attend together and enjoy the weekend without commiting to a race that may be outside of your current ability level. Or if you want to go all out, you could always do the Half on Saturday and the Sprint on Sunday!

Rev3 Williamsburg features 4 different race distances in one weekend, along with aquabike options for the Half and Olympic distances. It is another great opportunity for racers of different abilities and distance goals to join together for a weekend of racing and fun. This location also has the additional bonus of being a great vacation location for a long weekend, with Historic Williamsburg and Jamestown nearby, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA for a weekend of family friendly entertainment. The swim course is reversable to allow for the easiest swim possible on race day, and the bike and run are both fairly flat and easy.

Augusta is consistantly described by our members that have done it in the past as a great half distance race, suitable for any skill level looking to complete a 70.3 race. The swim is with the current in a river, the bike course is fairly easy and well maintained, and the run course is through the flat downtown streets with almost no elevation change and lots of spectators making for an exciting finish to the race.
